Deep Roots – Free Funding Workshop Feb. 23

Has your organization done its in-the-groundwork?

Know Your Roots? - Fundraising Workshop Thursday, Feb. 23

If you find this question intriguing, then please join us on February 23, 2012, as we launch a year-long workshop series called, The Funding Building Blocks.

Third Sector Group, Inc. is teaming up with the Pikes Peak Library District, The El Pomar Foundation, Brinah Vincent, CFRE, and RoMA Johnson, CFRE to offer this series designed to boost nonprofit funding.

This first, kick-off workshop is called The Big Picture, but it’s really about the necessary elements to build your organization’s deepest root system.

For any tree to thrive, weather storms, and bear fruit, it must first lay down roots. Whether sapling or old oak, the invisible system below ground is essential. So it is with your organization.

In this free two-hour workshop, Kimberley Sherwood will uncover and examine the
3 Critical Concepts that work together to make up your organization’s roots. These are the three “taproot” elements that must be in place for effective funding to bloom and ripen into fruit — and for your organization to weather changes in our blustery funding environment. You’ll learn about the rarely seen underground structure from which all funding systems and processes grow.

This workshop is free, thanks to the generosity of the Pikes Peak Library District and the
El Pomar Foundation.
